After an RFQ has been opened, use the messaging feature to answer supplier questions and perform necessary follow-up.
When a supplier sends you a message on a request, you will receive a notification via the bell icon in the top right corner of Fairmarkit.
The notification will reference the RFQ ID and the name of the Supplier who sent you the message.
Clicking on this notification will bring you to the Messaging tab where you can review the content of the message and reply.
Clicking on the Chat Bubble icon to the right of the supplier's name on the RFQ Details page will also bring you to the Messaging tab to begin a conversation with that supplier referencing the request.
Type your message into the Say something... field, then click the arrow button at the end of the field to notify the supplier of your message.
You can click on the Desktop Notifications slider bar to provide in browser notifications whenever you receive a message while logged into Fairmarkit. Any messages you receive while not logged into Fairmarkit will trigger an email notification.
Clarifications can also be posted to all suppliers by clicking the Supplier Clarifications function under the Comments menu in an Opened, Closed, Awarded, or Canceled request.
This will prompt you with the Supplier Clarifications pop-up, where you can type your clarification into the Say something... field, then click the Post button at the end of the field to notify all suppliers of your update.
